The accuracy of each record's spatial location varies. The data set is derived from the Digital Water Atlas of Michigan (Lake_polygons_200403.shp), Michigan Geographic Framework Statewide Hydrography Polygon Layer and USGS National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), High resolution. A few of the records were cropped from their original polygon or more than one polygon dissloved together to better represent the manoomin distribution. A description of the record's original spatial data source and other information is located in the "SOURCE DESCRIPTION", "CROPPED", "DISSOLVED" fields.
